A bright, fairly clear, purple-hued wine. The nose is very fresh, expressing notes of Morello cherry, wild strawberry, nutmeg, and black pepper. The palate is moderately tannic, rather light, and low in alcohol, allowing for a dominant sensation of freshness. Notes of dark fruit and spices, typical of the region, are also present.
